In the last part of the above-cited witness, there is an interesting description suggesting the important hidden function associated with teeth. Miss Yoko, the daughter of this patient had shorter height equivalent to those of elementary school children due to abnormal secretion of growth hormone. As a part of such an abnormality, she had no menstruation. Although she took orally the relevant drugs, efficacy could not be observed. Surprisingly, however, about 1 week after beginning of “Hazo” treatment, her menstruation commenced. Growth hormone is synthesized in pituitary gland located in the center of brain and secreted from this gland. Furthermore, pituitary gland is a central endocrine gland which is involved in control of other important endocrine hormones such as thyroid hormone and prolactin hormone. The reaction observed in this patient indicates a possibility that “Hazo” is associated with pituitary gland functions which play a key role in endocrine gland. Given the fact that pituitary gland exert a central function, it is also suggested that “Hazo” also is associated with other systemic endocrine gland functions including pineal body, thyroid gland, thymus, adrenal gland, Leiden gland and sex gland. In the Orient, the location of endocrine gland is called as chakras while it has been believed that during Zen sitting meditation or simple meditation by expert Zen Buddhists, Kundalini representing a kind of energy is raised from sex gland, drifts upward in the spinal cord, finally reaching pituitary gland. During the course of elevation of this Kundalini energy, it is reported that one can enjoy normalization of our vital function, its expansion and furthermore, perception of the self spiritual world.
Coupled with the fact that improvement of bites of teeth is associated with removal of vertebral column distortion and elevated electric energy in the brain stem, it is postulated that improvement of “Hazo” function would make it easy to elevate this Kundalini energy and to activate the said chakras. Concerning this chakras centers, there is a theory that the 8th chakras is located about 1 feet above our head, with the 9th chakras within 3 feet, together with the 10th, 11th, and 12th chakras being related to the Solar system, the Milky Way system and the whole Universe. Although this theory could not be testified, as one possibility, teeth as the living gems expand our mental world to the universal scales and might hold a key to connect with a mental conglomerate. This would contribute to deepening understanding of our own presence as human beings and stimulating evolution as the living body. As the natural course, mental tranquility could be obtained in our living activities associated with “transient flesh body” on the earth. Accordingly, teeth provide important significance in evolution of our living bodies in the universe; therefore, spoiling of teeth would delay such an evolution.
In relation to the above-stated correlation of teeth with chakras, the Oriental Medicine pointed out the inherent relationship between individual teeth and various organs in our body. Such a correlation would surely exist as a mechanism of our living body. This is because as stated above, “Hazo” as the prototype standard of branchial arch organ was located in the upper position beyond all the organs including brain if we trace back to the evolution process. Actually, once gold crown having covered left second bicuspid was removed clinically, some patients promptly complained of numb feeling of the ipsilateral mid finger. In such removal cases, stimulation was given by using different teeth, resulting in response being found in different fingers. Other fingers correspond to individual teeth as follows; first bicuspid to index finger, first molar and canine to medicinal finger, and second molar, medial incisor and lateral incisor to fifth finger, respectively. According to the meridian study of the Oriental Medicine, there are respective “Genketu” in each finger such as “Daicho kei meridian” in index finger, “Sinnpou kei meridian” in middle finger, “Sansho kei meridian” in medicinal finger, “Sin kei meridian” and “Shouchou kei meridian” in fifth finger. It is reported that they are associated with the whole body including visceral organs. Although details are not yet clarified, it is quite reasonable that “Hazo” of each tooth is closely correlated with respective organs and each part of our whole body. Accordingly, stimulation of teeth provides influences on related inherent organs and our body without perception whereby firmness and appropriate temperature stimulation of teeth accompanied by chewing foods inevitably give favorable influences as the activating factors to the related parts of the body. On the other hand, unpleasant stimulation such as pain due to dental caries, twinge in teeth and inability to bite foods might lead to abnormality in the related lesions and dysfunction; on the contrary, however, there is also a possibility that abnormality of the related organs affects functions of the said teeth.

Section 5-1. Potential concealed in the enamel crystal. Intake of free energy.Pulsation activity of body fluid
It seems to me that there is another important function of teeth. This is still one speculation but is associated with the crystalline structure of the dental enamel. As stated above, the crystal of the dental enamel possesses hexagonal structure like those of some gems such as amethyst. Honeycomb also consists of gathered hexagonal units. Such a special structure plays a miraculous role in gathering together the free energy in the empty space; one of the examples is found in the golden section, 1:1.618, in the pyramid power and the natural world. For example, when a certain volunteer holds an extracted tooth on his palm and undergoes a muscular strength test, his muscle strength is found to be remarkably improved. If you have an extracted tooth, you can examine this interesting power by yourselves. There is also a possibility that teeth would be an inlet apparatus to incorporate free energy. Interestingly, during the course of evolution from reptiles to mammals, trabecular architecture of the dental enamel was developed, leading to increased width. This eventually indicates increase in the hexagonal enamel crystal amount, thereby suggesting great enhancement of free energy aggregation effects.
In the mean time, the crystalline dental enamel is considered to possess higher wave nature from its structure. Dental pulp is kept insides such crystal. Within the dental pulp, blood and lymphatic fluid are circulating every minute. However, the dental pulp space is so narrow and accordingly, the circulating amount might be limited; nevertheless, it can be anticipated that all the blood would pass through the inside of this crystal and affects the dental pulp.
It is postulated that teeth possess a kind of system in which due to the resonance phenomenon of the crystal, blood, especially its “water” component is purified or activated. During the course of progress of physics from Newton’s classic mechanics, and Einstein’s principle of relativity to De Broglie’s quantum theory, it has been disclosed that materials or their fundamental elements, namely atoms have both characters such as particle performance and wave nature. De Broglie expressed that “All the materials are waves” while it is considered that all the materials including human beings and water possess wave nature with inherent number of frequency or number of vibration. Mr. Masaru Emoto, a chairman of International Hado Member Club described importance of “Hado” which affects consciousness and health of human beings, and particularly pointed out importance of “Hado” of water. The percentage of water in our body accounts for about 70%, indicating that our life is floating on water. Accordingly, if our body and mental status are in good harmony with the universe, it is anticipated that we can spend happy and healthy lives whereas if “Hado” of water is unfavorably low, it will lose harmony with the universe, with our lives and health, as well as our society being destroyed. Chemically speaking, water contains quite a few hydrogen bonding while such a hydrogen bonding plays a decisive role in genes and proteins indispensable for human bodies. They are daily synthesized with use of water in our bodies. In this sense, favorable or unfavorable “Hado” of water is very important because water is directly incorporated into such a synthesis. Teeth can be regarded as the second kidney in terms of “Hado” purification of our body fluid.
Teeth are surrounded by tongue, buccal mucosa and gingival, all of which are tissues characteristic of abundantly containing blood. Under a thin mucous membrane, much more blood and lymphatic fluid compared with those in dental pulp is circulating. These circulating fluid is affected by the crystal of teeth. Exchange by means of resonance phenomenon of “Hado” occurs at the frequency of microsecond orders. “Hado” of water as the constituent of human bodies is also altered during the course of passing through the crystal side or in the crystal, whereby it is conceivable that all the water in our body is affected finally. There is a possibility that teeth provide us with unimaginable benefits.
Even if we live in urban areas where inhabitants could not help but drink the city water with lower “Hado”, the dental crystal activates the “Hado” of water. In sharp contrast, when these intact teeth are ground to replace them with other artificial ones, we are afraid that something awful will take place. The outcome of such an event is contamination of our lives. If you drink brand-name spring water by paying much money, it is changed to water with bad “Hado” in your body. Occasionally, we encounter some persons who are very careful about foods and water and furthermore, have a pleasant personality with less stress; however, we are very surprised to know that these respectful persons die of cancer suddenly. Such unhappy cases can be attributed to contaminated water in the bodies resulting in causing cancer because the “Hado” activating function of teeth becomes “Hado” aggravating apparatus by implantation of organ incompatible artificial materials with lower “Hado” in the dental gum. This shall be explained again in Chapter III referring to incompatible materials for dental use but the related witness from patients would be introduced below.

I was suffering from severe eczema for a long time. As the natural consequence, Ihad itching, darkened skin and stiff shoulder, besides being unable to raise my left arm. I happened to be acquainted with KOS Muratsu Dental Clinic by introduction of one of my friends. In this Clinic, artificial materials which had been implanted in my dental gum were removed; thereafter, itching sensation was eliminated and my left arm could be raised completely. Gradually, every complaint disappeared and suddenly I recalled the previous complaints such as stiff shoulder and inability of raising myIn addition to this patient, please refer to the witness by a 42-year-old woman which was also introduced in Chapter II, Section 1. Section 4-4. Teeth as the fourth special sensory organ which is proved by the evolution history
According to current anthropology and medical science, specific sensory organs located in our head region include three organs such as eyes for visual sense, nose for olfactory sense and ears for auditory sense・equilibratory sense. However, we think that it is necessary to reconsider it. As stated above, in the central dental pulp, the nerve entering from apical foramen forms nerve plexus with a part of it invading into the inside of dentinum. In addition, there is periodontal membrane with well-developed nerves and blood vessels around the dental root. The nerves observed in the periodontal membrane are not so simple as those found in usual tissues like skin but form both free nerve ending as the mesh-like algesiroreceptor, and tactile perception. Via these nervous tissues, we perceive the physical characteristics of the foods, including not only cold・warm sensation but also “firmness” by using teeth as the sensory organs. Promptly, such information is transmitted to the brain where judgment is made whether the foods in question should be ingested or not, or instruction is provided to secrete saliva containing digestive enzymes, and furthermore, digestive organs including stomach and intestines are instructed to make preparation of their functioning. Thus, teeth play a role as the gatekeeper for the food inlet and the sensory organ to control tactile perception and cold・warm sensation.
Presence of such teeth as the sensory organs can be traced back in the evolution process. “Jawless vertebrates” as the oldest vertebrate which lived at the early part of Palaeozoic Era (500 million years ago) had neither jaws nor teeth; however, in place of them, they girded themselves with lots of carapace known as “armor”. On the surface of the armor, there were many small pieces of dentinal matrix which is fundamentally the same as those in human teeth. They are morphologically the tissues with projected cells which contribute to be the sensory organs to detect changes in outer circumstances.
Three sensory organs such as eyes, nose and ears are common in all of vertebrates. They might be produced during the course of development to vertebrates; however, evolution of teeth was much more delayed. In the midst of Palaeozoic Era (400 million years ago), ancient sharks having jaws and teeth newly appeared. One part of branchial cartilage became jaws which could work as the active switching device while the protrusion of dentinal matrix above it was changed to teeth to catch the food. In contrast, however, sharks have different structure with teeth being not directly integrated with maxillary cartilage (called as “Fiber bonding”). When evolution proceeded to bony fishes, teeth directly bound jawbone to be firmly supported on the jaw. Around 360 million years ago, one of the bony fishes succeeded in evolution to the oldest amphibian which could spend their lives on shore. This amphibian had the similar epithelial dental enamel as those in humans. This is because teeth of them were exposed to the air on land, whereby the superficial “Enameloid” of teeth which corresponded to the dentinal matrix of fishes underwent evolution.
In the latter part of Pareozoic Era (300 million years ago), reptiles which completely acclimatized to the on-shore lives appeared while in the early part of the Mesozoic Era (220 million years ago), their primitive groups evolved into mammals. Teeth achieved great changes during the course of their evolution processes. In reptiles, their teeth have conical shapes and they swallow the foods without chewing. In mammals, however, their teeth are differentiated into incisor, canine, bicuspid and molar teeth while in particular, the molar teeth take “Tribosphen type” by which both upper and lower molars cooperate each other in pairwise association to cut and mash up the foods. This cooperative mechanism is responsible for slow chewing in the mouth and appropriate digestion. Furthermore, the teeth of mammals were equipped with periodontal membrane surrounding the dental root to permit strong and functional conjunction with gnathic bone.
As stated above, this periodontal membrane possesses extremely sophisticated sensory receptor which can be compared to “Listening with teeth”, if we employ the expression such as “Looking with eyes”, ”Sniffing with nose”, and “Hearing with ears”. The teeth of mammarians are changed only once in the lives. The dental enamel becomes thicker, with their crystal and trabecular architecture being developed. Thus, upon appearance of mammalians, revolutionary or completely heterogenous teeth appeared after highly significant evolution. As briefed above, in the early stage of vertebrate evolution, brain looked like a fistulae containing nerve cells. During the course of evolution to human beings, the brain formed so much complicated structure consisting of cerebrum, diencephalons, mesencephalon, cerebellum, medullary and spinal cord; as the natural consequence, the brain was developed to control not only vital activities of individuals but also sublime mental activities. The central nerves in the brain are operated by the interconnection networks comprising nerve cells (neuron), but the network of the neuron was not genetically decided from the very beginning. They were prepared by stimulation of sensory information which was inputted during the course of growth. As is obvious from the above explanation, the brain and the central nervous system are developed and grown in response to peripheral stimulation. This reminds us of the opinion that during our childhood, appropriate stimulation is indispensable for growth of the brain. Given all this, it is conceivable that the brain of vertebrates was developed by increased stimulation due to lots of sensory information from peripheral areas to the brain through three specific sensory organs such as eyes, nose and ears. Among these vertebrates, mammals could be considered to achieve further evolution from the brain of the reptile levels thanks to appearance of the fourth specific new sensory organ, namely “teeth”. Accordingly, the current status of mammals and human beings could be attributed to presence of “teeth”. In this sense, we can say that the brain and the central nervous system of human beings are closely correlated to “teeth” and “Hazo”, whereby it goes without saying that abnormality of teeth and Hazo induces dysfunction of them, leading to onset of systemic dysfunction or psychosomatic abnormalities.
Thus, teeth should be positioned as the fourth sensory organ, following eyes, nose and ears as the conventional sensory organs. Throughout all the life stages from babies, children, adults and the elderly persons, their roles which participated in the evolution processes contribute to growth and development of the brain, improvement of their functions and maintenance.

Section 4-3. Dentin-dental pulp complex which is filled with vital power
The dentinal matrix is located inside the dental enamel. In reality, when we grind a tooth during our dental treatment, the dentin looks like a slightly-yellowish white plastic with homogeneous hardness (Please refer to Figure VII).
However, microscopic observation of the sliced specimen revealed lots of narrow tubes, called as dental tubule (Figure 55). In this tubule, water-like substance is contained. Have you ever experienced a slight pain when your tooth brush touches the basal part of your tooth or you drink cold water? Such a case occurs if you too much polish the basal part of your tooth with your tooth paste. What causes such a slight pain although no nerve is exposed from the tooth ? This pain can be explained by the fact that the dental enamel corresponding to the skin of the tooth is deprived, resulting in exposure of the dental matrix located inside the dentin. Physical stimulation is associated with movement of the inside water-like substance which is transferred to the dental pulp as a pain. When we take vitamin preparations or antibiotics orally, they appear in this dentin through the dental pulp several hours later.
The lymph fluid from the dental pulp was confirmed to be within this tubule; accordingly, we call this part as the dentin-dental pulp complex because the dentinal matrix has been recognized as the vital tissue closely associated with the dental pulp. Have you had bitter experiences in which despite receiving careful treatment of dental caries, you had tooth pain later? In case of Streptococcus mutans being left after treatment, this bacterium survives based on the support of both vitamins and nutrients which are supplied via the dentinal matrix from the dental pulp, and causes decayed teeth, followed by infection being expanded to the dental pulp finally. As is obvious from these examples, the dentin is not a mere inorganic stone but is vividly living.
Dental pulp contains nerves and blood vessels, together with immature cells, suggesting that dental pulp is alive. For example, in case of the teeth being excessively polished with dental paste leading to be gouged and percepting coldness of water, undifferentiated and active mesenchymal cells are changed to odontoblast cells, and then create a new teeth layer called as the second dentinal matrix to defense themselves according to the pain warning. When you hold one mouthful of hot green tea, you will feel as if each tooth perceive warm sensation in your mouth. It is not a surprising phenomenon; however, warm and cold sensation by teeth via the dental pulp are the important transmission of information to the brain.
As the natural consequence, you are recommended to intentionally perform systemic physical exercises and activation of your whole body including the brain through chewing foods with your teeth. You should make full use of your teeth.
Our body possesses an interesting feature such as disuse atrophy characteristic of causing atrophy and dysfunction of the non-used organs and tissues. In other words, if you have no knowledge about the real function of “Hazo” and roughly chew foods with only front teeth, physical functions and spiritual energy will be weakened, together with dysfunction of teeth and gum-ridge. The most important point to maintain teeth under good condition is to understand “Hazo” and chew your favorite foods thoroughly with full gratitude. Such a practice is related to the systemic health maintenance.

Section 4-2. Dental enamel possesses hexagonal crystalline structure. Streptococcus mutans is the natural enemy
The surface of teeth is covered with a layer called as dental enamel. This corresponds to the skin in our body, contributing to protection of our body. Teeth are the hardest tissues in the body. Although they seem like stones and not the living body, it might be a misunderstanding. When one piece of teeth is investigated under microscope, they have a crystalline structure mainly consisting of hydroxyapatite, called as an enamel pillaret.
Its matured crystalline occurs as a long plate-like susbstance with sexangular section like amethyst and topaz (Figure 53). In the similar manners as we inspire the air and expire the air with ample carbon dioxide, the surface of dental enamel absorbs calcium, phosphorus and fluoride ion from the saliva surrounding the dental enamel. Between teeth and saliva, there is a dynamic exchange of inorganic ions. In other words, the dental enamel breathes. Once dental caries occurs, recalcification is available as the self-repairing system if it is in an initial stage.
When Streptococcus mutans dissolves the dental enamel, substantial defect occurs in the teeth, resulting in emergence of dental caries. This is due to acids which are produced by decomposition of sucrose by Streptococcus mutans. This bacterium produces glucan, as a viscous substance consisting of polysaccharides on the surface of teeth, together with production of acids to dissolve teeth. This viscous glucan plays a role as the barrier to protect Streptococcus mutans from bactericidal effects and bacterial eradication effects of the saliva, thereby allowing survival of lots of this bacterium on the surface of teeth, and forming the biofilm (Figure 54). The white layer on the surface of teeth which contains such a glucan and Streptococcus mutans is called as plaque. Because of this barrier, acids which are synthesized by this bacterium from sugar also contribute to maintenance of highly acidic conditions which are preferable to growth of this bacterium.
These plaque, glucan and biofilm cannot be removed from the teeth surface by gurgle. However, teeth are suffocated by presence of this barrier which is prepared by Streptococcus mutans. The suffocated dental enamel covered with glucan for a long period of time results in being dissolved by acids and leading to death.
Such a death is observed as decayed teeth (Please refer to Figure VIII). Commonly, it is called as dental caries. However, if we remove these matrix corresponding to the skeleton of the dental enamel at the early stage of its collapse thereby resuming dental respiration, such an injured matrix can be resuscitated by the so-called re-calcification, known as the self-repairing function. This re-calcification means a series of mechanisms that fine cavity caused by acid-inducing dissolving phenomena is again filled with calcium, phosphorus and fluoride ion to repair this eroded part much more firmly than before.
As described above, our teeth also breathe like varieties of living bodies. Unless the plaque and glucan sticking onto the surface of the teeth are removed by means of tooth brush, toothpick or floss, teeth die of suffocation.
Glucan is too sticky to be unable to be removed unless thorough cleaning is employed. The biting surface of teeth has fissure which is a deep and narrow ditch, whereby it is impossible to clean the inside of this ditch. This indicates that sweeping the ditch has a limitation. As the natural consequence, we must map out any countermeasures other than physical cleanings to eradicate decayed teeth by eliminating all Streptococcus mutans from our mouth. This issue is extremely important and therefore, we wish to discuss it in the Chapter 7.

Section 4-1. Teeth hold the micro cosmos. Its kinds and structure.
The vivid elderly person study made me recognize that teeth are organs. I was wondering previously whether dental prophylaxis is worthy or not, and whether significance of our own teeth possesses something precious which cannot be substituted by artificial teeth or not. My long-lasting questions as a dentist and a researcher revealed the lethal blind points clearly which could not be noted despite existing just in front of myself. Solution of one question invites another unexpected question, which discloses another question like a chain reaction. The succession of question and answer resembles excavation of mineral vein. While struggling with studies requiring lots of time and efforts, and coming into conflict with weariness of pending questions which cannot be solved by conventional dental medicine, we proceeded step by step; however, such efforts are the real pleasure for researchers. I feel very happy if you recognize the correlation between teeth and the systemic functions of our body.
For human beings, teeth can be regarded as a precious gem which hides miraculous potentials. I believe that teeth can be designated as diamond holding a key for maintaining health of the human beings. It is of real regret that this fact had been veiled for a long period of time. However, now that the twenty-first century has been dawned, such a mysterious veil is uncovered and this trend is really significant. In the near future, human being would be exposed to a globally scaled environmental change. Nevertheless, it can be anticipated that human beings could survive under such a situation. The last master card provided by the God is “Teeth”.
As one drop of sea water tells us the sea, one tooth hides a mystery of the microcosmos, our body. For your better understanding of the theme of this book, I wish to explain the structure of teeth, a living gem, as its fundamental information. I am confident that you could understand that teeth are not the mere inorganic lump but a living gem which possesses mysterious potential from the view point of both structural and functional features.
As you might know, baby teeth are defined as the teeth during childhood while adult teeth are the teeth which replace baby teeth until puberty. Baby teeth comprise desiduous medial incisor, desiduous lateral incisor, deciduous canine, deciduous first molar teeth and deciduous second molar teeth, bilaterally amounting to 20 teeth in total. Adult teeth consist of the following 8 kinds of teeth such as medial incisor, lateral incisor, canine, first cuspid, second cuspid, first molar teeth, second molar teeth and third molar teeth (wisdom teeth), bilaterally amounting to 32 teeth both including up and down sides (Figure 51).
The upper half of the tooth is called as dental crown while the lower half (covered with gingival) is called as dental root. The inside structure of one tooth roughly consists of four parts. Both dental enamel covering the surface of the dental crown and the dental cementum covering the outer surface of the dental root belong to ectodermal tissues, corresponding to both skin and nail in human bodies. The dentinal matrix located inside of these parts can be classified as mesodermal tissues, corresponding to muscles and bones. The dental pulp located in the central part contains nerves and blood vessels, besides being filled with immature and active cells which perform daily vital activities (Figure 52).

Section 3-5. Enough chewing brings about health but be careful about one-sided chewing.
The above-stated vivid elderly person underwent gastrectomy to lose half of the stomach during his middle age days. It seemed to be serious once half of the stomach was resected because rough chewing of foods caused vomiting and could not pass through the foods through pharyngeal region. Due to lost pleasure of enjoying foods, he tried to commit suicide. He might be enlightened by Fletcherism and then, he practiced to chew one spoonful boiled rice 100 times and then swallow it. As you can imagine, it was very hard to chew a small amount of boiled rice 100 times soon after commencement of this hard practice; however, patience brought about resuscitated health and he was accepted as a member of the vivid elderly group. Subsequently, it was heard that he propagated importance of chewing foods to his acquaintances. Like this case, even if one loses half of the stomach, one can become a member of the vivid elderly group due to “chewing”effects. Chewing well is associated with recovery of health. However, we must be careful about one-sided chewing. One-sided chewing means chewing foods only on unilateral teeth.
Previously, Kyushu University Health Science Center made a questionnaire survey on the outpatients’ clinic. As the results, as high as 80% of them was found to “chew” foods unilaterally (Figure 49). Taking into consideration the trend that the outpatients for Health Science Center are careful about their own health conditions, we can anticipate that the general public might rely on unilateral chewing at higher incidences.
Judging from right- and left-handedness of the general public, you might consider that there would be persons with right- and left-handedness for their jaws. We must say that such a unilateral chewing is very dangerous. By such a bad habit, biting features become distorted while biting power of right and left sides obviously varies. In most of them, the biting power of teeth without being involved in chewing tended to be remarkably weaker (Figure 50). As the results, trabecular bone supporting eye balls becomes different on each side, resulting in some shift of optic axis. It has been reported that such an abnormal shift causes abnormalities in optic functions. Needless to say, bad posture is induced together with asymmetrical profiles of the face. To prevent such an outcome, one must chew foods symmetrically with bilateral teeth to transmit the relevant information to the brain. If possible, you are recommended to give mental seasoning by expressing thanks to the foods. The followings have not yet been confirmed, but when cerebral limbic system and the mental area in matrix in the brain are activated by thankful feeling, it would appear likely that stimulatory information to the brain might be enforced.
As stated in the previous chapter, physical practice with use of chewing muscles is accompanied by occurrence of simultaneous involuntary electric discharge in skeletal muscles in respective parts of the body. It was reported that electrical discharge occurred in extensor muscle of the forearm and gastrocnemius musle which are remote from teeth. Clamping our teeth tightly is associated with concerted induction of electrical changes in muscles in the whole body, followed by occurrence of increased tension in the whole skeletal muscles. Furthermore, the firmness and cold/warm sensation which occurred in teeth by chewing are to be transmitted to cerebral cortex via cerebral limbic system as their electric signals. Chewing seems to be only a partial physical movement but it stimulates the systemic parts including brain and peripheral areas because “Hazo” exerts its central importance affecting the vital central functions. In other words, chewing is recognized as the systemic physical practice for both heart and body. It also plays a role as the excellent physical apparatus to stimulate the whole body effectively and simply, together with accompaniment of satisfaction and pleasurable sensation. Even if one becomes confined to bed, chewing efforts might provide the equipotent physical activities as did the whole body exercises. Accordingly, we must be careful to keep our teeth in good conditions until our death.
As explained above, presence of teeth and chewing with them are indispensable for maintenance of our health and enhancement of the whole functions. However, in case of easy fatigue of jaw upon chewing, suspicious sound in jaw or difficulty of chewing with bilateral jaws, it means that their functions are not satisfactorily operated. In addition, unilateral chewing results in unexpected shift of the optical axis or occurrence of unfavorable influences. Even if we have enough teeth or we have our own will to bite foods, that is inadequate. In such cases, there is a possibility of the distorted bites. Improvement of the bites is important to chew foods well.
Figure 49
Incidence of unilateral chewing in the outpatients’ clinic
This is obtained in the questionnaire survey in Kyushu University Health Science Center. To our surprise, as high as 80% of them was found to “chew” foods unilaterally. The incidence of right-sided chewing was about twice higher than those of left-sided chewing.
Figure 50
Unilateral biting coincides the difference in biting powers on right and left sides
The biting power of the usually using side is considered to be stronger. However, when the biting power of the unilateral biting cases is investigated, there exists clear difference in biting powers on right and left sides. We can say with almost 100% probability that unilateral biting coincides the biting powers.

Section 3-4. Dying patients were resuscitated by chewing. Fletcherism.
Thanks to application of “Hazo” functions, a patient was resuscitated from the death. Do you know a word, “Fletcherism”? This word was extensively propagated in Japan previously, indicating that chewing activities were associated with unbelievable efficacy on our health.
Several dozens years ago, Mr. Fletcher at 40 years of age was living in the USA. He was suffering from obesity and poor health whereby his insurance was denied by a Health Insurance Company because of limited life expectancy. Accordingly, he could not help but try lots of things to improve his health but in vain. As the natural consequence, he decided to recover his health by “biting foods”; however, he could not move his body rather than physical exercises because of unusual obesity. He could do biting easily at any place. His central policy was not only to bite foods but “to ingest any foods following grinding foods to a pasty condition whenever he wanted to eat foods”. He achieved such a thorough “biting” for each meal every day. Surprisingly, his health was recovered and he looked younger. This is Fletcherism.
The reason why only biting practice made him so well and revitalized is attributed to “Hazo” of teeth as the ground. Biting foods induces stimulation of brain through cerebral limbic system, besides biological mechanism associated with stomach and digestive tracts being stimulated like salivary secretion. For example, satisfactory biting of foods makes stomach and intestinal tracts prepared for digestion and absorption of foods, followed by selective absorption of necessary ingredients and exclusion of unnecessary components. Such a mechanism of actions has been clarified recently. Iron-binding factor which is secreted from stomach is one of these compounds. When diabetic patients perform practice of good chewing, it is reported that fasting blood glucose levels are reduced and Hemoglobin A1c levels representing one of the index of diabetes mellitus are also lowered. It is anticipated that not only change of the above-stated digestion-absorption processes but also hormone secretion from salivary gland is involved in these phenomena.
From parotid gland as one of the salivary glands, parotin known as a hormone for rejuvenation is secreted. Animal experiments demonstrated that a certain hormone-like substance involved in glucose metabolism was secreted. Parotin which is secreted from parotid gland is synthesized in parallel with salivary secretion due to stimulation of parasympathetic nerve which occurs by chewing foods, followed by being incorporated into blood stream. Parasympathetic nerve stimulation plays a role providing comfort; therefore, with increase in happy emotion such as tasteful, enjoyable, pleasant and relieved, much stimulation occurs. Accordingly, during a dinner, we should not think about nuisance jobs and unpleasant events at all; in place of it, we must enjoy pleasant and joyful conversation.
The reason why Mr. Fletcher could recover his health and look younger might be attributable to his attitude such as “Whenever he wished to eat something, he took them without being concerned about unnecessary things and he enjoyed tastes of the foods”. If you want to regain power by taking foods, you are recommended to follow Mr. Fletcher’s manners for dinners. It cannot be recommended to try to ingest foods even if these foods contain nutrients. It is ideal to take foods which give you happy emotion. Taking into account the possible mechanism existing between chewing performances and health through Fletcherism, we come to note implication of various mechanisms therein. Fletcher’s enlightenment “God bless you after your enjoyable dinners.” seems to be the most trustworthy truth despite being unscientific. It might be difficult to perform Fletcherism completely but why do not you enjoy it within the feasible frameworks.
We can remember another sentence which referred to significance of chewing. You might have heard the name of Taisetsu Suzuki, a world-famous Zen Buddist, who published lots of books related to Zen Buddism in his whole life. I have been interested in Zen Buddism; therefore, I reviewed 32 volumes of his collected works. In one of these books, there is an episode in which one of his disciples asked Suzuki in such a way “You are an elderly buddist but enjoys good health. You lock yourself up in a study to write books. Do you have any special know-how?” Suzuki replied to his question as follows: I do not perform any physical practices but I pay attention to chewing of foods. I wonder whether Buddha’s voice can be heard if one obtain the Zen enlightenment. Frankly speaking, among the participants in the vivid elderly person study, there are some ones who had similar experiences as those of Fletcher and Daisetsu Suzuki.

Section 3-3. Efficacy of chewing gum
When we become sleepy while driving a car, we usually chew a chewing gum. In contrast, whenever becoming nervous, we sometimes chew a chewing gum to find relief. This is because we know from our previous experiences that chewing a gum is associated with brain stimulation, awaking or sedation. To be frank, a chewing gum effect can be recognized as an unconscious “Hazo effect”. Overall chewing with both front teeth and back teeth provides well-balanced homogeneous stimulation of both sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves, which is useful for taking balance of autonomic nervous systems. If you prefer to take a comfortable stimulation mainly, you are recommended to chew a gum with back teeth including the second bicuspid and backward teeth whereas if you wish to taka a stimulation of excitation systems for waking or elevating the blood pressure, it is better for you to chew a gum with canine teeth and the first bicuspid in the front area. Like these examples, teeth possess interesting potentials. It has recently been reported that chewing a gum improved metabolism ratio of us by 19% per hour and fat was consumed by additional 11 Kcal, resulting in inhibition of obesity. Although chewing actions seem only a local exercise associated with chewing muscles, it is the systemic exercise including stimulation of both blood flow of brain and cerebral functions, as stated above. As the natural consequence, continuous chewing of a chewing gum leads to activation of systemic metabolism and improvement of the metabolism ratio.

Section 3-2. Why is “Sushi” delicious?
The Chinese character of “Sushi” contains the component indicating “Fish” within it. This means that “Sushi” spreads its roots in Japanese cuisine culture as the tasteful representative. However, a simple question comes to our mind “Why is “Sushi” delicious?”. Suppose that we ingest fish as the Sushi item and rice separately, we cannot enjoy that specifically delicious taste. The secret of that special taste might exist on our taking fish and rice simultaneously. That is correct! The “Hazo theory” is unconsciously applied to Sushi culture.
Take octopus Sushi for example. When we put one piece or octopus Sushi into our mouth for biting, octopus piece cannot be bitten by one bite, resulting in the octopus piece moving to either side of the oral cavity while rice piece is shifted to alternative side. Upon the second bite, the firmness caused by octopus is transmitted as a signal to the brain; in sharp contrast, however, the tender perception of rice on the alternative side is transmitted to the brain as its signal. Such different firmness on both sides is combined together to create sophisticated harmony, evolving into resounding into the brain together with feeling of pleasure. In addition, tastes of green horseradish paste, Sushi rice and soy sauce produce favorable stimulation to the brain. At that occasion, we shout “Good taste!” . “Turnip Sushi” is prepared by clamping sea bass between sliced turnip known as the specialty good of Toyama prefecture. This special Sushi provides somewhat different firmness from those of conventional Sushi.
The reasons why rolled Sushi, fried rice and curry rice are so tasty are ascribable to the similar Hazo function.
Previous animal experiments demonstrated delay of the contralateral brain growth of mice of 2 weeks of age compared with those on the side where the dental germ of the jaw was excised unilaterally. Since the nerve fiber projected from brain cells cross in the midst of these fibers, contralateral abnormality is induced. In this connection, it was observed that chewing foods contributed to increase in cerebral blood flow, together with elevation of the intracerebral temperature by 0.2℃ while intracerebral functional substances including memory-retreaval materials such as cholecystokinin are increased, resulting in rapid development of the brain. It was reported that mice given solid foods which need to continuously chew the foods exhibited more favorable results by 40~50% in the labyrinth test and the conditioned avoidance behavior test than the mice given powdered foods. These animal experiments clearly demonstrated that both growth and functions of brain required presence of Hazo, indicating close association of brain with teeth. As regards humans, geometric figure tests on kindergarten children revealed the correlation with chewing frequency and chewing ability of children at 5 years of age; in this connection, the test results in children who chew foods well were superior to those of children who ignore chewing of foods.
Whenever brain is stimulated through Hazo percepting tasty feeling, the above-stated brain activation unconsciously occurs. Accordingly, as one application of “Hazo theory”, all we have to do is to chew well the “foods” which satisfy your desires. Such an approach plays a role as simple but effective brain gymnastics, thereby contributing to systemic health enhancement and prevention of dementia. Why do not you make a practice to chew well your best favorite food and to taste it well immediately without being annoyed by worries about health and body weight gain. One old book “Hagakure” written in the Samurai area in Saga province as a Samurai philosophy reads “Our whole life is really trivial. Living with concerns is stupid. We must live our daily lives by enjoying the most favorable things in such a trivial world”.
Section 3-1. Meals for astronauts
It is reported that the meals for the astronauts in the spacecraft were initially paste-like nutrient foods which did not need chewing by he astronauts. This is because ingestion of the well-balanced nutrients would suffice as the foods according to the medical paradigms in those days. Actually, there were published reports saying that both digestion and absorption of foods were not associated with presence or absence of chewing of foods.
However, after repeated flights in the spacecraft, it was revealed that paste-like foods could not maintain psychosomatic soundness, and therefore, currently, the menu for astronauts comprises the foods requiring chewing efforts. “Takoyaki (Octopus balls)” is also included within the current menu. The space science always pursues the maximum efficiency by means of utterly eliminating all the waste. We can easily anticipate how difficult it is for all the astronauts to take solid chewable foods. However, US NASA made such a selection, indicating that NASA found such a great significance in the astronaut’s chewing works. The cosmic space provides us with the ultimate conditions which challenge the vitality of human beings. If the foods in the spacecraft had been investigated based on the new medical paradigm like “Hazo theory”, the current menu might have been employed from the very beginning and in addition, more effective foods would be mapped out. Such an approach based on “Hazo theory” might have selected better and appropriate methods rather than correcting mistakes through a trial and error under the old paradigm. For example, improvement of dental bites to the optimum conditions representing another effect of “Hazo theory” might induce paranormal functions possessed by human beings and expand our vital ability. If this theory is applied to space science, we can anticipate that further possibilities would be cultivated.

If this theory is applied to space science, we can anticipate that further possibilities would be cultivated.

Section 2-6. Bites of teeth cause the whole body abnormality
For your easier understanding of the mechanism how these systemic symptoms are induced by abnormal bites, shall we compare them to “Wineskin” images once again? When a part of the wineskin corresponding to chewing muscles is tightly squeezed, jerking or abnormality of the wineskin occurs somewhere.
If such abnormality takes place in the outer wineskin, it leads to onset of headache, stiff shoulder, low back pain and numbness. Clinically, they are called as “myotonic pain” and they most frequently occur among pains related to indefinite complaints. Furthermore, jerking of the wineskin causes persisting abnormal contraction and unbalance of the antigravity muscles which possess a pair of antagonistic muscles as the unit to support the vertebral bones. As the results, jerking of the wineskin induces distortion of the vertebral bones and sacral bones, distortion of the posture and furthermore, lateral curvature.
In addition, abnormal contraction of muscles causes reduction of blood flow in blood vessels and lymphatic fluid in lymph ducts, evolving into occurrence of decease in metabolism and immunity in various lesions, together with reduction of healing capacity and nerve compression with blood vessels; eventually, sometimes “idiopathic convulsion” , numbness and chronic chillness of extremities due to autonomic nerve imbalance. If abnormalities occur inside of the wineskin, persisting muscle jerking of visceral smooth muscles spread among visceral organs, digestive tracts and blood vessels takes place. In the similar manners as skeletal muscles, jerking inside of the wineskin inhibits streams of blood and lymphatic fluid, and reduces autonomic nerve functions, resulting in stagnating or obstructing the blood flow in capillary vessels conducive to transferring oxygen and nutrition to cells. This naturally causes reduction of immunity and curing ability in visceral organs or permits onset of abnormal functions. Concomitantly, injuries of cell membranes, occurrence of bacterial or virus infections, and increase in active oxygen (free radical) being involved in carcinogenicity of cells as well as decrease in inhibitory functions against such carcinogenicity.
As the results, the conditions susceptible to occurrence of chronic cellular injuries are invited by active oxygen and the following diseases are accompanied such as gastric ulcer, appendicitis, various visceral diseases, asthma, ureteral calculus, stomachache, constipation, diarrhea or angina pectoris, arrhythmia, menstrual pain and menstrual disorder.
Shall we review the witnesses heard from the patients as follows.
This patient had continuous spasm of muscles in his temporal legion, together with severe headache; accordingly, he could not perform his works well. Headache was anticipated to be “pains associated with muscle contraction” due to abnormal occlusion. Since the temporal spasm had been confirmed neither to be “symptomatic facial spasm” which is caused by tumor, nor to be “postparalytic facial spasm” prior to his visit with us at the plastic surgery clinic, he was diagnosed to have “idiopathic facial spasm”. On the other hand, it was clarified that most of idiopathic spasm exhibits the pathologic conditions indicative of “vascular compressive facial spasm”. This pathology is interpreted by onset of abnormal exciting conditions in facial nerve due to oppression of the facial nerve by smaller branches of cerebral blood vessels. Based on these facts, it is indicated that elimination of convulsive symptoms following “Hazo” therapy is associated with removal of oppression of the facial nerve by the relevant blood vessels following recovery of dental health. Conversely, abnormal occlusion is responsible for occurrence of oppression of the nerves by the blood vessels. These convulsive symptoms frequently occur around the eyelids because of abnormal occlusion. “Facial hemitremor” is one of the typical symptoms characteristic of tremor of lateral lower eyelid in particular. According to the collation of the data by KOS, among 105 patients with this symptom, 98 patients, namely 89%, were completely relieved from this symptom after dental treatment.
The next patient was suffering from cardiac disease.
The correlation between teeth and cardiac diseases has been well known among specialists while there are lots of examples in which dental medication alleviated arrhythmia like these witnesses. After correction of dental occlusion, significant improvement was found in these patients who could not easily step up staircases due to arrhythmia and tachycardia.Concerning angina pectoris, a certain patient at the age of 60s always carried nitroglycerin and he was told by an internist that heart attack would occur accidentally and his life could not be guaranteed by the physician. Accordingly, he had sense of anxiety, besides suffering from insomnia. He had no dental caries with normal teeth arrangement; furthermore, he looked quite healthy but oral internal tests revealed abnormal occlusion. Accordingly, such an abnormal occlusion was corrected and he could sleep well on that night. His conditions were improved and he could enjoy golfing the next week. Six years have passed but he is quite well and it seems to us that he already forgets about his past history of angina pectoris in former days.It was already explained that “Hazo” as the predacious organ derived from gill arch organ, namely gill but cardiacaorta stems from the blood vessels of the gill. In ventral aorta of intestinal tracts in the fish, 6 pairs of blood vessels extend along the cervical part to the dorsal area, reaching a pair of dorsal aorta while in the mammals including humans, the third, fourth and sixth aorta are diverted to the aorta and artery; the aortic arch derives from blood vessels of the fourth gill from the left. Thus, teeth are closely associated with heart in terms of evolution processes. Accordingly, it is not a surprise to note that abnormality of teeth is responsible for occurrence of cardiac disorders.
The next patient had gastric symptoms.
The next patient presented with sciatic neuralgia.
As depicted in the witness, soon after treatment of dental occlusion, the persisting ureteral calculus was eliminated from kidney. I attributed occurrence of ureteral calculus to abnormal dental occlusion. It is postulated that “Hazo” is closely associated with urinary tract organs.
I would like to introduce further any other examples as to what kinds of abnormalities occur other than these symptoms introduced above. Coupled with the issues related to incompatible materials which had been used for dental treatments as stated below, I am confident that abnormality in “Hazo” should be considered first as the possible causes of all abnormalities.
I wish to explain about these points in Chapters III and IV but our body possesses the integrity in stead of conglomerate of all the parts. In addition, “Hazo” might be the center of biomechanism; therefore, if this center is shifted, any abnormalities shall eventually occur in the whole system. Unlike other organs, “Hazo” plays a central role in our body and dysfunction of “Hazo” affects all the organs. Since our body possesses the self-repairing function to some extent except for teeth, only teeth induce initial abnormalities under the usual daily lives except for mental fields, traumatic injury and infections. As the natural consequence, health is collapsed from our teeth.
If such abnormality takes place in the outer wineskin, it leads to onset of headache, stiff shoulder, low back pain and numbness. Clinically, they are called as “myotonic pain” and they most frequently occur among pains related to indefinite complaints. Shall we review the witnesses heard from the patients as follows.
I had suffered from spasm around left ear and headache. With advance of dental treatment at Dr. Muratsu’s clinic, the spasm was diminishing. I hope that it will completely disappear someday. I appreciate Dr. Muratsu’s kindness.
(A 35-year-old man, Kitsuki, Oita)

The next patient was suffering from cardiac disease.
In 1992, I was affected by ischemic heart disease (myocardial infarction). Thanks to the balloon catheter therapy, I could return to my job but arrhythmia occurred regularly and I was so concerned about my daily lives. Subsequently, I happened to meet with Dr. Muratsu at the Health Seminar which was held by our town in 1993 and I received dental treatment for abnormal occlusion which annoyed me prior to morbidity of heart disease.
In parallel with treatment, incidence of arrhythmia gradually decreased. When the dental treatment was completed, arrhythmia was eradicated. Currently, I could enjoy my job, golf, baseball and pinball without any concerns and I spend pleasant days.Although I do not know the correlation between heart diseases and abnormal occlusion, some diseases are known to be caused by dental diseases and my own case might indicate such a correlation.
(A 48-year-old man, Occupation: a firefighter)
I was informed of having arrhythmia (atrial fibrillation) by a physician in the summer of 1992 when I lived apart from one's family at the new workplace. Since then, I started to receive medicinal treatments (with drugs). At that time, I performed taking walk and jogging early in the morning on 5 days per week. However, arrhythmia took place occasionally. Since
1995, he went to the office from his house whereby his mental stress was alleviated; however, his arrhythmia was not improved and since February 1999, arrhythmia continued all day long. At this time point, he had already visited Muratsu Dental Clinic and therefore, he asked Dr. Muratsu to treat abnormal dental occlusion several times last year. Currently, atrial fibrillation was not completely cured but his pulse width is less irregular. He could step up stairways without any sense of choking.
During his daily life, he is not so nervous about his heart. He is still receiving internal medication and regular dental checks. His physical conditions are stabilized.

The next patient had gastric symptoms.
I had been physically fragile and in particular, I had gastric troubles frequently. I had less appetite because I was susceptible to influences by stresses and environments. Since two years ago, I was suffering from abnormal dental occlusion and I visited several dental clinics; finally, I received dental treatment by Dr.Muratsu.In my case, abnormal occlusion directly affected my stomach conditions. When I was in good condition, I perceived appetite immediately after dental treatment but whenever I complained of my favorable conditions, I felt heaviness of my stomach. In such occasions, neither stomach medicines nor massages were found effective. However, after the next dental treatment, my stomach conditions were improved.I really recognized from my experiences how important the dental occlusion is. Good appetite stimulates physical activities to provide vigor. I wish to take care of my teeth and I wish to enjoy good health.Dr. Muratsu, thank you very much.
(A 50-year-old woman, Fukuoka)
The next patient presented with sciatic neuralgia.
About 14 years ago, I suffered from sciatic neuralgia. Despite of visiting an outpatient clinic of orthopedic surgery for 5 months, no alleviation was obtained. Therefore, I repeatedly received acupuncture treatments whenever I perceived pains.Last July, I received treatments of abnormal dental occlusion by Dr. Muratsu to remove the distortion and the implanted metal was replaced with a biocompatible material. After that, the right sciatic neuralgia was disappeared. The left teeth were too low in their heights thereby being unable to be used for chewing foods. However, since this New Year’s Day, I could chew foods with the left teeth, too.Treatment of the right side would be completed soon while sciatic neuralgia on the left side was mild, occurring occasionally. Therefore, I hope that I could be free from long-lasting troubles soon. I could walk smoothly and incidentally, HDL cholesterol levels were significantly increased.
(A 62-year-old woman, Fukuoka)
Concerning the changes of HDL cholesterol levels in serum, I have received an interesting witness from a certain patient. This patient was suffering from symptoms such as “dizziness, nausea, and tinnitus, low back pain, unable to walk straight” which inhibited his daily life, and therefore, she visited a near-by internal medicine on January 14, 2000. These symptoms could not be improved because the actual causes were unknown; however, the hematological test revealed abnormally higher cholesterol levels “335 mg/dL. The daughter of this patient had been treated at our Clinic and this daughter talked about her mother’s conditions to me. On January 25, her mother came to our Clinic with her daughter. Promptly, I started various tests and treatments while within the same day, the afore-mentioned symptoms including dizziness and low back pain were alleviated. Later, the daughter told me that on their way from the clinic to the home after treatment, it was raining, and to the daughter’s surprise, her mother ran faster than she did to Hakata Station
suddenly. Her mother walked to our Clinic with her hand on the daughter’s shoulder. Subsequently, she visited a previous internal clinic where hematological tests were again performed. The test results were surprising because the cholesterol level was lowered to “162 mg/dL”, being within the normal levels. With such a short period of time, such an improvement occurred whereby the said internist was also very surprised and said “Unbelievable!” This patient pleasantly informed me of such an event. She is well currently. This example clearly shows that when the biomechanism is imbalanced due to abnormal dental occlusion, the serum cholesterol level shows abnormal values. The next patient had symptoms in urinary duct.
He underwent ureterolitotomy 5 years ago. Annually, it was pointed out that he had the residual ureteral calculus according to echogram in the comprehensive medical examinations. On March 1, immediately after treatment of abnormal dental occlusion, the intractable ureteral calculus was secreted with urine without any pains.Since dental treatment, my physical conditions were favorable and I worked too hard. At this chance, I wish to undergo through treatment.

Section 2-5. All the roads lead to “Hazo”
For your better understanding about positioning of “Hazo”, shall we compare higher forms of life to the Roman Empire? The living organism (for example, something like amoeba) which behaves as one city state like Rome conquers the surrounding cities to expand its territories. Such cities correspond to organs in the humans. So as to connect the conquered cities, road networks were opened. These roads were prepared to connect mutually across the city groups but finally led to Rome as the final destination.
If we compare these Roman system to the human bodies, along the roads, there were functional cities (heart, liver, lung, etc.) where materials and water (nutrients and oxygen in the blood) required for surviving of the inhabitants of the empire, and the cities (kidney) where garbage was disposed; finally, they became big enough compared with Rome in their structural scales. On the other hand, Rome (predacious organ) organically regulated the expanding Roman Empire and gradually changed its features from the center with predacious organ function to the functional city with the highly sophisticated central information control center functions which were supported by the specific sensory organs such as eyes, nose and ears as well as the brain. This is the “Head”. Head is an expanded and differentiated predacious organ itself.
Currently, humans cook foods with fire and eat soft foods daily. However, among the mammals some animals like lions eat the preys as they are. For that purpose, such beasts need to have powerful predacious organs. These organs could be regarded as the cranium and the submaxillary bone. In fact, the chewing muscles including temporal muscle and masseteric muscle are attached to the cranial bone while the maxillary joint involves the cranial bone as its part. Accordingly, we can define the organs and tissues associated with prey as “Hazo”.
Given all this, it is conceivable that “Hazo (Teeth-organ)” consists of the central structure for the vital centers and also plays a role as the vital center by itself. In the embryology, there is a word “gill arch” and “Hazo” as the embryological descendant of “gills” is the origin for sensory organs such as eyes, nose and ears which are located in the head; in addition, various vital functions derive from “Hazo”. All the roads lead to Rome (predacious organs). Accordingly, it is rational that “Hazo” is directly associated with not only the chewing functions but also the systemic mechanisms of living organisms, and is related to autonomic nervous systems and endocrine systems. In addition, “Hazo” is responsible as the linkpin for activities of the systemic muscles including skeletal and visceral muscles via the chewing muscle, together with posture-regulating functions on the vertebral column. In this book, various witnesses are provided by patients who experienced improvement mental and physical symptoms by dental treatment. “Hazo” would be the only organ which alleviates various symptoms as shown in the testimonies. These facts clearly indicate that “Hazo” is located in the center of the vital functions.
